CHILD ABUSE REPORTING 

All school employees who have reasonable cause to suspect a child is a victim of abuse or neglect, including sexual abuse, or who observe conditions which reasonably would result in abuse or neglect, shall promptly report such incidents to the proper law enforcement authorities and the principal. “Employees” also includes coaches and volunteers participatin in interstate amateur athletic competitions. The principal shall ensure that the report has been made to the proper law enforcement authorities. 

The employee shall make an oral report to the local law enforcement agency by telephone within a 24-hour period, followed by a written report if necessary. The report will include all information required by law.
