SENIOR COLLEGE DAY AND CLASS EDUCATIONAL TRIP

Seniors will be allowed to visit the schools of their choice, with the permission of the guidance counselor and school principal. This day is to be known as "College Day" and often is planned by the guidance counselor for a group of students. This day may not be taken during any of the series of state-sponsored activities, tournaments, or meets.

Senior Class Educational Trip will be limited to one school day with a two-day total, including one night's lodging. The number of adult sponsors, chaperons, class sponsors, and parents shall be determined by the superintendent of schools. A ratio of one sponsor for each five students is recommended. The itinerary, including transportation arrangements, shall be approved in advance by the board of education.

Expenses for the Senior Class Educational trip are to stay within the class fund balance. The expenses are to be divided by the number of students in the senior class and the sponsors. The expense account must also cover all lodging, transportation, and the cost of all planned activities. Students and sponsors are traveling as representatives of the school district. Good manners, good conduct, and neat appearance are expected. School officials reserve the right to limit the participation of any student if it appears to be in the best interest of the school district.

The Senior Class Educational trip must be approved by the Board of Education prior to the trip but no later than the regularly scheduled March Board of Education meeting.
