Summer Food Benefit Program Helps Families

Thursday, May 16, 2024

Starting this summer (2024), eligible families will be able to receive money for select food items through the new United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (Summer EBT) program.

Your student may be eligible to receive Summer EBT of $120 to use for purchasing nutritious foods during summer break. Visit Nebraska Summer EBT 2024 to learn about SEBT eligibility, resources for healthy food choices, answers to frequently asked questions, and for information about other food access resources when school is out.

If your student meets the SEBT eligibility requirement as a recipient of SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or Medicaid benefits, YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ANY ACTION. Your student’s benefit card will be issued to the address on file at school.

If your household income aligns with the following income guidelines, you may complete the Income Eligibility Application and return it to school by MAY 24, 2024 to receive the $120 benefit card towards summer meals.

Click on the link below to access the Income Eligibility Application, print, and return to school by May 24, 2024.
